Medical science has achieved a new milestone in surgery recently when Da vinci Robot

was discovered to assist the surgeons in complicated surgical processes. In fact with the advent of the Da Vinci robot, the surgery techniques have reached new heights. The innovative technique used by this robot surpasses the conventional modes of surgery in its safety measures.

Although with the use of this robot the surgery becomes very expensive (not less than $8000), it is compensated by the shorter stint in the hospital. This method reduces the stay in the hospital by 4 days. Ultimately thus it works out cheaper. This method operates through the chest blood vessels instead of the sternum or the leg blood vessel as in the traditional bypass surgery. It has been proved that 88% patients were free from complications under this method as opposed to 66% under the bypass surgery. These were revealed in a meeting of American Surgical Association held in New York recently.
However the product is still in an experimental stage and scientists are working to improve its performance and scope.
