On May first, Hrithik and Suzanne Roshan were blessed with a bonny baby boy at Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital.

The 3.3 kg baby boy was born at 11.27 am. “The whole time Hrithik was by Sussane’s side, giving her support. He did not move an inch from his wife’s side,” said Mohan Rajan, official spokesperson of Lilavati Hospital.

“It is a very auspicious day for baby Roshan to be born. May 1 is not just his birthday but also the International Labour Day and Maharashtra Day,” according to Rajan .

Hrithik and Suzanne already have another son, Hrehaan and were probably wishing for a baby girl. But a healthy baby boy is giving them immeasurable joy as well.

The whole Roshan and Khan clan were by the couple’s side clicking pictures of the newborn.

Hrithik said, “I did want a girl this time to complete the family picture. But the minute I saw my baby’s face I was as content as I could be. In fact, he has already had his first photo-session! The entire family (of about 35 people) except dad, is here. So we gathered around the baby and the photographer went click-click. He seemed to really enjoy it.”

Unfortunately, the moment was missed by granddad Rakesh Roshan who is in Los Angeles shooting for a movie. But the proud granpa had happy words. “We are all very happy,” .

One wonders if the new baby will have Hr as the first letters of his name, like Hrithik and big brother Hrehaan? About the name, Hrithik said. “Right now, we haven’t thought of a name. We’re just so happy to see him healthy and happy. Suzanne will be home in a day or two.”

The new papa can’t stop smiling and added, “It feels wonderful. I never thought fatherhood, the second time around, would be so special and exhilarating. I can’t take my eyes off the baby. He’s so beautiful!”
