Though her counterparts are topping various lists and votes, actress Kareena Kapoor is happy with the various awards she has been receiving of late.

Kareena Kapoor herself might have been voted the ‘Sexiest Vegetarian’ by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, but the actress mocks at innumerable popularity and beauty lists that find their way into newspaper and magazine columns.

“I fail to understand who makes these lists? Instead of featuring on these lists, I would rather receive awards such as the India Today Woman Award,” Kareena said in Delhi, a day after receiving the award in the arts category from environmental activist Erin Brockovich.

Bebo’s disregard for popularity lists comes at a time when her counterparts, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, have been topping various lists and polls.

While Katrina was voted the ‘Sexiest Woman’ by FHM India , Priyanka was the highest ranking Bollywood actress in media monitoring agency Adex India’s latest study.

Kat and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan featured in the ‘Top 99 Most Desirable Women’ poll by askmen. com , in which Kat beat Ash to grab the 48th position.

Deepika Padukone topped ‘Maxim Hot 100 Girls’ list.

Kareena values awards like India today award more than topping these lists.

She has also been recently awarded the young achiever award by the Rotary International for her contribution to Hindi cinema.

“I’ve always done what I’ve believed in, and followed my heart. I’m humbled by this award,” said Kareena, after getting the Rotary Award.

As reported earlier, Bebo simply refuses to entertain questions about her counterparts. On being asked about Katrina, she had said: “I don’t talk about other actresses in my press conferences. But Kajol and Karishma are my favourite.”

Kareena also takes her youth icon status seriously. She said: “I take the youth icon tag as a compliment and it is a big responsibility because it’s the youth that take the country ahead.’

Kareena is also on a roll having been offered the lead role opposite Saif Ali Khan in the sequel to Race.

The movie will be called Race 2 and Tips will be producing the sequel too while Abbas –Mustan will direct.
