Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif had created magic on the silver screen with many hit movies last year. But they went separate ways after that . And the verdict was negative- their movies are flops.

After three super hit movies like Namastey London, Welcome and Singh is Kinng the pair of Akshay and Katrina Kaif finally said Good Bye. While Katrina began to work with her own beau Salman Khan, John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ranbir Kapoor, Akshay Kumar starred with Deepika Padukone in Chandni Chowk to China and Ayesha Takia in Tasveer 8×10. Both of the movies were box office duds.

Naturally when director Priyadarshan was scouting for heroine opposite Akshay Kumar in his next project De Dhana Dhan, the latter was quick to recommend the name of Katrina Kaif.

Priyadarshan is very happy by signing in Katrina Kaif after Akshay’s recommendation. They are currently filming in Singapore. According to Priyadarshan, the couple shares a “terrific screen chemistry.”
