Facebook now in Indian Languages

After propelling itself as the leader in social networking, Facebook is now being offered in six Indian languages. Mark Zuckerberg had made a pleasure trip to India in May 2008. Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam are the languages being offered.
Users can change language settings by using the settings tab or through the language option on their homepage. However, Facebook is not yet enabled for transliteration ie conversion of English script into phonetics of other languages. The move is expected to bring in a substantial rise in Facebook users.
