Grapevines are abuzz that director Danny Boyle of Slumdog Millionaire fame has approached none other than Aamir Khan with a joint project.

Boyle first expressed a desire to work with Aamir during the premiere of Slumdog Millionaire in India and has now approached him to work in his prospective film, a website reports.

Aamir was out of the country for a break with his kids. But his chance return to Mumbai resulted in Boyle calling on the super star actor to discuss a new project before hosting a party for his Slumdog team there.

The director was in Mumbai to help rescue Azharuddin Ismail Shaikh and Rubina Ali, the child stars of Slumdog, after authorities bull dozed their slum houses rendering them homeless.
