Sunny Deol resurrects with Fox
Sunny Deol, the action star of Bollywood is back in a thriller role in Fox, directed by Deepak Tijori.
“It’s not an action movie but is basically a thriller. Sunny will be seen in a different light altogether in Fox and so would Arjun Rampal. Our film is a slick entertainer and comes with a new way of storytelling. I’m sure both Sunny and Arjun’s fans would be happy to see them in a new avatar,” Tijori said.
Shot in Goa and Mumbai, Fox is a thriller about a cat and mouse chase between a criminal lawyer (Arjun) and a stranger who is controlling and threatening his life. Now the lawyer must seek the help of a reluctant cop (Sunny) in solving the mystery.
The actor-turned-director, who has wrapped up the film, is more than happy with the performance by the two heroes.
“The entire week gone by was an amazing experience since everyone came together to ensure that there were no more delays. Whether it was Sunny and Arjun or Udita Goswami and Sagarika Ghatge or newcomer Vipul Gupta - each of them was very cooperative, ” said Tijori.
Even though the principal shooting of the film was expected to be over towards the end of last year (the shooting had kick started amidst much fanfare in May 2008), there were glitches towards the last stages due to which Fox came to a halt. Finally, the film was revived in the last week of May with entire cast participating in the shoot, hence bringing the production stage to a close.
Said Tijori,”Am I relieved? Certainly yes. Was I frustrated? Not really. The film was delayed for a few months but in the hindsight, I don’t see any problem in that at all. Whatever happens, happens for the good and in case of Fox, I can only see the positive side of affair”. Deepak’s response surprises all because one was expecting him to be bitter about the delay in making of his thriller.
