The much hyped launch of the iPhone 3G S has brought the App developers in focus yet again.

It is one sure way for software developers to earn a pile of money. The sheer volumes are massive. If an app costing as less as $2 is downloaded say by 50000 users you can well imagine the kind of money the developer is going to make.

However Apple has been accused of delaying payments to App developers. The New York Post has reported that Apple has not been paying the developers and various companies have launched a campaign on the Internet to pressurize Apple into releasing the payments.

The delayed payments may lead to bad PR for Apple. However it has by no means affected sales of the iPhones and Apps as well. Apple recently crossed the one billion mark for App sale. However Apple has not made any official announcement in this regard. The developers can just wait and watch.
