The secret is out! Aamir Khan will essay the lead role in wife’s debut directorial venture.

According to the media reports, Aamir Khan is playing the lead role in Kiran Rao’s directorial debut film, Dhobi Ghat.

Aamir Khan is playing the lead hero instead of a cameo. The duo tried to keep the fact hidden till the release of the film but the secret cannot be concealed any more and the surprise is out.

“Aamir plays a painter who lives and works from his tiny studio-apartment in a noisy and congested Mumbai neighbourhood,” said a source close to the movie.

The source says further that “Kiran never wanted to cast Aamir in the film but Aamir insisted and even screen tested for the role.”
Well, it can be said that Aamir Khan seems to be experimenting a lot with his marketing tactics.
First he got ushers to sport the Ghajini look and now he is all set to shock his fans with something novel.
Dhobi Ghat’ features ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ actor Pratiek Babbar with Monica Dogra. Aamir has completed his part and the film is in the postproduction stage. It is expected to hit the theatre soon.
