Sources confirm that Raj Kumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots is right on schedule for a December 25 release.

It stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in the lead.

Contradicting reports in newspapers, both Hirani and producer Vinod Chopra assured Screen that the film, which was almost complete, would be released on schedule. As per earlier reports, Aamir’s two month time-off from work due to wife Kiran Rao’s unfortunate miscarriage had been cited as the reason for the delay. Hirani is currently editing the film and only a song with Aamir and Kareena remains to be finished.

In fact, Kiran Rao is reported to be flying down from France to observe the song shooting between Aamir and Kareena. The Buzz is that she is considering to cast Aamir and Kareena as leads in her next movie.

This song will be the final schedule for the Raj Kumar Hirani directed movie which will then go for post production. The song will be shot on September 21 which is Kareena Kapoor’s birthday. The shoot was delayed after Kiran suffered a miscarriage. Aamir requested Kareena to shoot on her birthday and Kareena obliged.
