Now that the year has almost come to an end, it is time to take a stock and get hold of statistics. Zeitgeist is the list that maintains a pecking order of the searches on Google.

The stats unveiled by Google India are pretty interesting and show the varied interests of the India netizens. Indians seem to be showing maximum concern for economy with “Budget 2009” and the share price of “Satyam” as two most searched terms. “Love Aaj Kal” was the most searched movie in the year.

Rahul Gandhi and Sachin Pilot were the two most serched eminent persons. However “Katrina Kaif” still remains the most searched person on the Internet. Sania Mirza too was on the top or almost there. “Matheran” has emerged as the most searched tourist destination.

Amongst the mobile searches, cricket queries were on top of the list. The analysis of search data gives out specific trends in consumers and gives an insight into consumer behavior and performance. Considering the trend Google will be concentrating more on search technology using mobile phones in the years to come.
