Amitabh Bachchan in awe of Ben Kingsley
Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan, who plays a mathematics professor alongside Ben Kingsley in ‘Teen Patti‘, is full of praise for the Oscar-winning actor, whom he considers a “wonderful” human being.
“I found Sir Ben to be a wonderful human being before encountering him as an actor. We did lot of reading rehearsals before shooting. When we met as ordinary people in our hotel room, he knew his dialogues very well. He is a considerate and well prepared actor and also a gracious man,” Bachchan said about his Hollywood counterpart.
Bachchan plays Venkat Subramanium, a mathematics professor doing thesis on theory of probability in the film, which has been directed by Leena Yadav and produced by Ambika Hinduja.
The film, which releases on February 26, marks the Bollywood debut of Kingsley, who became a household name in India with his iconic portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in 1982 film ‘Gandhi‘. Kingsley plays a mathematics genius in the film.
