BlackBerry Storm2 launched in India

RIM announced the launch of BlackBerry Storm 2 in India. This new handset from Research In Motion is from its second generation of gadgets. The device will use the BlackBerry® OS 5. It comes with substantial improvements over the touch screen devices from RIM thus far.

New SurePress Technology has a lot to offer. It makes the use of the touchscreen effortless. Typing with the virtual keyboard will be very smooth. Typing can be much faster and the SurePress technology makes sure that you can use one thumb while the other rests on another key. Various multiple key combinations are also possible. The BlackBerry Storm 2 is priced at a uniform price of Rs.31,990/- all over India.

Some of the essential features include a 3.25” high resolution screen, and a 3.2 MP camera with variable zoom and autofocus. It has a 2 GB onboard memory expandable to 16 GB. It has connectivity options of UMTS/HSPA (2100Mhz), quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM and Wi-Fi® (802.11 b/g) networks. Built-in GPS maps have been provided. You can also have access to BlackBerry App World. You can enjoy a talk time of 6 hours on 3G networks.
