Pakistani authorities have confirmed that Mohammad Asif was arrested in the Dubai Airport for being in possession of drugs. Mohammad Asif was returning to Pakistan from Mumbai via Dubai.

Shoaib Akhtar was on cloud 9 after helping Kolkata defend a small total against Delhi. But against Mumbai Indians, the total of 67 was too less for Shoaib to defend.

With most of the international players missing out on some part of the tournament, IPL could very well be a domestic tournament with guest appearances from international players.

Shoaib Akhtar is in real trouble. After the Pakistan board banned him for 5 years, IPL chief Lalit Modi announced that till the PCB lifts the ban, he cannot play in the IPL.
